Aint that the truth! Very Happy Loved it when he told SirA he couldn't talk football. Do these upper class twits do their research????

Methinks he should have shut his gob a bit more.

I loathe them all, which bodes well for my enjoyment of the series. blink Looking forward to seeing more of beret lady.
Alex is quite good looking, but the lovely Raef Rolling Eyes sums up everything I hate in men.

Oh so he's already finished studying to be a lawyer but he didn't get a job, no surprise there lol

It is great when you hate all of them! Raef is going next series I hope! I love his bulls**t response early in the episode, "I only manage myself, not other people". Right. lmao

Out of the girls, that Asian one and the fat team leader piss me off. The Asian is so utterly pretentious and the fat one thinks she owns the world because she's dealt with a lot of money in her job, so f**king what, that's often simply down to what profession you're in, not how good you are at it.

Lawyers and barristers are different things. And he has got a job, with one of the biggest (he says) chambers in London. :p

He has a job? I thought it was said several times that he was the only person there with no job experience?

Definitions of  barrister on the Web:

    * a British lawyer who speaks in the higher courts of law
      wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn

    * A barrister is a lawyer found in many common law jurisdictions which employ a "split profession" (as opposed to a "fused profession") in relation to legal representation. In split professions, the other type of lawyer is the solicitor. ...
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrister

So a barrister is a different type of lawyer but still can be defined as a lawyer.

Fair enough, my bad. But he does have a job - he's only just qualified and he's taking a year off before starting at a London chambers. So says his website/the daily mirror...Still a knob though!!

I'm pretty sure Alan Sugar said he has never been in the world of business.

Are you referring to a job like working in a supermarket? Because obviously I'm not talking about that type of job, most people do that in their young teenage years but it stands for nothing when going into The Apprentice.

Read my post!

*He's just qualified - i.e. he's finished his BVC and is now qualified as a barrister.
*He's taking a year off after finishing law school.
*He's starting at a Chambers in London in the autumn.

Ergo, he has a job, as a barrister, in a chambers, but he hasn't started it yet. I thought that was pretty clear in my above post.

I thought we were arguing over whether he has had a job or not - I see now we are in agreement Smile

Yeah sorry, I meant to say he's never had a job. My point was simply that he was the only person in the series with no job experience and all he had was his grades.

I know and I do agree! What a knobwank - not hard to get straight A's nowadays, I know loads of people that didn't even get a B at GCSE. Admittedly, his first in law and his outstanding in his BVC are pretty special, but still, what a cock.
