...only a bit of British music.
Shocking... you need educating.

I know quite a bit of British music actually, but not what most people listen. I am very very very interested in traditional British and Irish instruments.
Well good...

Among British bands the only one I like is Coldplay, and they are the only band from any country I like! Also like an odd song of the Who. Buts that ends my proper association with band music
Cool... what do you like by the Who?

Coom Julia, when did I say that I have not heard of the "conventional" British bands. I guess I have heard a bit of most bands you people like. Dont like them though, call me Brit or no Brit.
I can be an old fashioned guy at times. I love the different highland pipes, the harp and the bodhran. I connect better to them than I do with bands. Thats Britain to me. When I hear them, I make a journey of a few thousand miles and reach your land
I cant even imagine Franz Ferdinand having that effect on me. I believe music of all kind is good and its just a matter of personal choice.
Well everyone has their own choice, and I respect that... but I'm sure there is a great deal of British band music that you would like... for instance, I'm sure you'd enjoy Fairport Convention (was just listening to some of their stuff).

I like Teenage Wasteland, Behind Blue Eyes and a few others.
Obviously there is a lot of other British bands or for that matter other bands which I enjoy. I like some songs of Simply Red too, no idea what you think of them. Also like one or two songs of Queen.
Actually I dont mind the education, I'll be glad to receive it from you. I admire the amount of stuff you listen too
Suggest me some stuff which you think is good. I like stuff which uses a variety of instruments. Dont mind the softer variety of rock but heavy stuff is an absolute no-no for me.
I have to go now, suggest some stuff and I'll read it when I return. I have a friend who has a huge collection, a bit like you actually :d So getting them wont be hard. Looking forward to some good suggestions.
