Thanks...do I get an MBE? Whistle

Me Bestest Eh? - actually no you have to actually score at least 7 runs in an actual ashes series - preferably on home soil, so that HRH doesn't have to get up in the middle of the night to watch you!

Apparently... it's not until 2009.... that gives them a lot of time to find some people who can bat Wink

oh...long time

Chris Read is a brilliant wicket keeper, and I really wanted him to bat well, but he did no better than Jones.

That's why Jones was picked first. As good a keeper as Read is, he can't hold a bat. Unfortunately, neither can Jones these days.

I think that Read had improved with the use of his bat at county level I think, but can't do it at test level (yet)

Get Foster in there, he had a bad few tests but has improved so much. He really is an outstanding keeper and can bat better then Jones or Reed

I thought Ian Bell did really well. 4 years ago in Oz the best odi player for england was nick knight who didn't play tests. We need some specialist one day players i think. I think it's hard to go from test batting and patience to run chasing and going after speculative balls in one day cricket. Boycott's criticism of england was that they play too many one dayers so get out of the habit of protecting their wicket. I think maybe in one day you're more likely to get the odd bad ball to entice you to have a go.

Josh just over-took me at the end! doh

Think  I think that I had at least 3 matches with at least one player not scoring coz he'd not been selected by the English Coach no

Don't know how that happened, gave up after the first 3 when it was 3-0, I'll go one better in ODIs though yay
