no idea what i'll do with a history degree - how about you? what are your plans? Very Happy

Whistle  You could always follow me into teaching! That's all I did with my History degree.  no

i don't have the patience to teach - i really admire the people that have the skills and character to do it Smile
academia would be nice....but then you're just stuck in books forever......it would be nice to have a bit of an exciting job for a bit......journalism, management.....something that everybody else wants to get into!!

My dad's a teacher too but at a school with students from all over the world. They don't speak a word of Dutch. It's his worst nightmare, those students are real terrors, they always have a knife in their pocket... So I guess you could say that at my school, the students are angels compared to those.  icon_angel_not
Thank you for retirement!!!

I thought about teaching but then i decided against it. I teach swimming 3-8 year olds and i love it. I don't think i could handle teaching moody teenagers but to be a primary school teacher i would have to teach English and i suck at it!! I'm hoping to go into Medical Research when im done at uni. I fancied something different!!!

One of my daughters wants to be a Maths teacher - she says that she'd make it more interesting than any of her teachers do!  I'd hate to put her off.

Maths is the subject I'm best at at school.  Trouble is though being in top set for Maths means top set for Sciences too and I'm not brilliant at those!

God I hated sciences - all of them!  I ended up doing biology 'cause I wasn't smart enough to do physics and he was a really cool teacher!  :uhm:
