Yes, I agree with what you said, and I think that there should be divided catergories for this reason, Best Live Act, and Best Live Rock Act, because the two are completly different things. There's no denying that they put on a good show, I mean I went to see Blue four years ago, and I enjoyed it, and it was an amazing show, but I just don't think that someone like Muse who are just a fantastic band live, should go unnoticed, to a POP Act, and for that reason I think that the two should be seperate. But whatever I say won't make a difference to the people who run the Brits, so this whole topic is completly irrelevant.

How did Muse go unnoticed? They were nominated. Just lost to another act who the people felt were better deserving of the award this year.

I'm not quite sure why she was up for so many...she's only released one single off her one album.

It's not that she's not good - her voice is impressive, if not spectacular - but we folks who haven't rushed out to buy the album have no idea what she can do beyond one ballad. No-one knows whether she's a one-trick pony, whether she can perform upbeat songs effectively etc.

She is a fantastic singer, but she hasn't done an awful lot to warrant that many nominations.

That song is a pretty nice song and was one of the better parts of a poor overall show IMO. Worthy of the best single nomination for sure, but I don't know what else she's done to warrant the other nominations.
Then again, KT Tunstall was the only one of the best female nominees I had actually heard of (although Leona's song is on the radio here all the time, I just didn't know her name or that she was British). As for the males, Mika was the only one, and only because I knew the song he sang at the beginning. Rest of them may not get much radio play, if any, in NZ.

Why is that?
If it helps, I like the Arctic Monkeys...

Your forgiven! I just hate her monotone voice, and the way she trys to be all "Street" and she just isn't, because she went to the Brit school and she just riles me up!
