Rusedski set to play in Liverpool

Rusedski has slipped down the world rankings in the last year
Greg Rusedski is to take part in the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament as part of his preparations for this year's Wimbledon.
The former British number one will join Spain's David Ferrer for the grass court tournament which takes place from 12-17 June at Calderstones Park.

Rusedski said: "I've heard of the tournament from Ivan Ljubicic, who always enjoys his time in Liverpool

"When I was offered the opportunity to play I wanted to give it a go."

Rusedski and Ferrer will be joined by Vince Spadea and Robert Kendrick and in the women's event, 2006 Wimbledon Junior Champion Caroline Wozniacki returns to defend her title.

Five-time Wimbledon champion Bjorn Borg will take on Pat Cash in the legends event with the likes of Mansour Bahrami, Peter McNamara, Peter Fleming and Cedric Pioline also taking part.
