Awww Frown  But shes done well though, do we think her ranking will go up quite a bit with this concidering its a WTA tournament?

 shocking She only went up 3 places. Now 142.

Although Elena Baltacha went up 36 to 204 and Anna Smith went from 502 to 446.  cmon yeah yay

Just wanted to say well done to the female Brits in the states, Katie O'Brien, Mel South and Anna Fitzpatrick all through to the second round of the ITF Tournament in Michigan, Anne Keothavong was beaten though.  yay

Congrats. to Mel South for getting to the semis in Michigan, she moves from 210 to 181, Katie O'Brien is now up to 117 in the rankings, if she could just do okay in the next couple of tournies she will break into the top 100.  yay

I can't see that Katie is playing anywhere this week, Anne, Mel and Naomi are all in Stockholm, so I'll be keeping an eye on them.  I haven't seen Elena anywhere either, she was one I thought would be desperate to get her ranking back up after all the surgery.

Anne is through to the second round, Mel got beaten and I can't see Naomis name so maybe she withdrew.

On a lower level, Natasha Khan is through to the second round in Portugal.

O'Brien and Baltacha both tried to qualify for the Tier 2 event in Dubai at the week end but both lost in QR1. Frown
