Well Sarah Borwell has pulled out with a shoulder injury and Rebecca Fong has stepped in her place as a lucky loser.

Anna Fitzpatrick who had a wildcard lost in the first round.

Amanda Keen got through her first round match.

Wildcard Naomi Cavaday (ranked 501) beat the seventh seed (ranked 283) 62 61.

Thats it so far for round one.

Doubles: http://downloads.lta.org....060926Nottingham/ldmd.pdf

Fitzpatrick got a bad draw and sadly Anna Smith couldn't qualify. Stoop plays a qualifier and has a good chance of winning a round.

Oh no! Frown   Top seed Mel South lost to Nadja Roma in straight sets. Nadja Roma is fast maturing into a good player, it's a pity that she has chosen Britain as her favourite hunting ground.

Stoop won her first round match. Smile
