Mel, Naomi and Anne all got to the QF's but that was yesterdays matches, the website hadn't been updated, it has now and Mel and Naomi were knocked out but Anne is now in the semis so at least one of them got through.

Baltacha won the $75K in Belgium and Keothavong lost in the final in Greece. yay

Katie O'Brien ranked 120, Anne Keothavong ranked 121 and Elena Baltacha ranked 141, Anne moved up 14 places and Elena up 23, the fight is on for Britains No. 1 spot, this has got to be good news for any upcoming WTA events, that's 2 tournaments in a row that Elena has won, must be great for the confidence.  yay

Anne, Katie, Naomi and Mel are in the main draw of a $75k event this week, Mel got through as a lucky loser but will play Anne in the first round.

Katie is out in the first round for the second tournament in a row, which means she may not be No. 1 next week, Anne beat Mel South and is in the second round and Naomi also advanced to the second round.

Naomi Cavaday is into the QFs of the $75k event in Spain, Anne Keothavongs match is in progress at the moment and is one set each.

Katie is through to the QFs but Annes knocked out, this should mean that Katie will be No. 1 again next week, unless she had loads of points to defend.
