There are quite a few British women playing this week, the $75K at Horholt, Belgium has Elena Baltacha and Anna Smith and the $50k at Patra, Greece has Anne Keothavong, Georgie Stoop, Mel South, Katie O'Brien and Naomi Cavaday, O'Brien and Cavaday play each other in the first round.  These are the types of tournaments I would like to see the women winning instead of the $25k ones, there should be more points on offer at the bigger ones.

Anna Smith went out in the first round but Elena is through to the second and will face Kirsten Flipkens for a place in the QFs.  Anne Keothavong is through to the QFs in her tournament, Georgie Stoop went out and Mel South and Naomi Cavaday are playing their matches just now, Mels hasn't long started so not sure how that will go it was 3-2 the the other player, Naomi is 6-2, 3-2 up in her match so unless she does something stupid she will also go into the QFs. (If I'm reading the scoring correctly anyway, not live score so it doesn't put the persons name against the score).
