The thing is, my opinions are always rather extreme, not middle grounded. And I'm so not a lefty.
I have *some* left opinions, but they're a minority.
You're not a numpty Socialist?

or dentie, maybe you are extreme, but sometimes you're extreme in thinking people should act/be treated in an authoritarian way and sometimes you will fight for people's rights to live their life as they want....but the left, well I don't know - perhaps you are supporting the wrong party!!

Haha, no. When a party represents everything you support, it's not the wrong one.
I don't really believe a silly test can prove what side you're on accurately actually, the questions are stereotypical. Anyway, I'm not a lefty, and if I have to prove it, I will!

Now how are you going do to that?
I thought the questions were actually pretty good. There was only 1 or 2 that I felt I had to hit something that wasn't quite right.
The other thing was whether to put agree or very much agree. I put the very much when I felt strongly. That's the only other place I can see you may have got left instead of ...is it far right????????
I don't think it is at all accurate in that if you land in a particular section you are like Ghandi or Stalin or whatever, but I do still suspect that it does give correct categories to most people with left/right and authoritarian/libertarian.
Not to worry, I will not think you left at all!!

It doesn't have you on the Liberal side Tommy. It has you very slightly left of centre and well into the authoritarian side.
The Liberals are slightly to the right on the Libertarian side. It in no way has you in the Libertarian side.
I suspect your conservatism is shown by you being well into the authoritarian side and the very slightly left of centre may be that you sometimes care for those in need - which is actually a pre thatcher conservative quality. You may have a bit of a of social conscience.
I don't really see yours as being all that off the mark with what you say you are.
Also it's going to change a bit with your mood. I just tried it again and got

. I'm in the same blocks but not so left tonight - or is it that I'm too tired and pressed the wrong buttons?? Could well be because I stopped myself doing this once!

Just got my dad to do this and he is as follows....
His Graph
Same place as me on the economic line, slightly more libetarian as he's not got many strong views other than on the religion/sex questions.

You believe in having more restrictions on the economy than the UK is currently, and are more liberal than the current government as well. Open to ideas and concepts etc, likely no have few STRONG views on very much to do with life in general. Is my best guess.....

My view Mark.
You are middle of the ground on economic issues. You could of course also have some strong right wing views and some strong left wing which kind of cancel themselves out and leave you very slightly left of centre.
The Libertarian is quite strong. This would go along with your strong belief in free speech. The Libertarian is about believing in people's rights and abilities to make choices for themselves and be self determining. It would suggest this is your stance rather than believing in controlling others or bowing to authority regardless of whether it is worthy or not.
So does that sound like you?

That certainly does sound like me! I'm very passionate about our personal rights and I think authority of all levels should always be questioned and monitored very closely.
Thanks for your help kayll & Neil.

You don't live in the UK do you? Well there is a option on the left side, making you able to change your region etc, that may help.
