It was unfair, I think so too.

Murray to reach quarters and Tim 3rd round.

Alas for Tim. According to bookies William Hill, there is more chance of the Queen abdicating than Tim winning Wimbledon next year. Oh dear.

That's shocking..... and so unfair for him, it must be horrible for him to be written off already  no  He could come back next year and be unbelievable again, you never know  goodjob

I think Tim will do a bit better, although I would say the press will be easier on him because Andy is in the picture but they'll proberly be watching and waiting to how good or bad he does.  I think he'll be ok coming back from his rib injury, just been reading his Biography and I read about a time when he was playing on court and he broke hes foot in three places and this was about two years after turning pro.  Though he is a bit older but I think hes alot wiser!

I'm not sure if this is necessarily true.... maybe in a year or so, but since Andy has come into the picture, Tim has had so much press saying that this is the end for him, ..... is this them being easier on him?

It takes the pressure off a bit - if he's not expected and pressured to do well, then maybe he'll perform better? Does that make sense?

I think most people are being very harsh about tim on this website. Frankly i am disguised, saying things like, he will get to the third round of wimbeldon as if. The old master hasn't finished yet by any means. He is still dreaming of that crown and the reason he didn't do so well 05 was because he was completly burned out from 04. Poor man can't do anything right. tim will be bk with a bang full of confidence, remenber his had a months break he has said that his pratise sessions have gone really well by his own admission. HE WILL DO A GORAN, WATCH UR BK MURRAY TIM WILL TEACH U A THING OR TO. His not going to get beat again oh no!  Murray lets get one thing straight scotland is part of the British Isdles so ur half Scottish and half British. Sorry but i am very passioniate about tim and i will not hear anything bad said about him. he doesn't deserve it. If their is anymore negative stuff u will have me to answer too got it oh good  Eh?

You can be 100% Scottish and 100% British, they're not mutually exclusive Wink

Nice to see someone so passionate about supporting Tiger Timothy though!

I love Tim too!  Hes the only reason I watched Wimbledon every year.  I don't think people on this website are being harsh on Tim because most still really support him.  I don't think its a choice between Tim or Andy, everyone wants them both to do well.

But being honest, Tim is getting older and when younger players than him are fitter and stronger the odds are against him.
