I bought the Top Gear magazine today. It's main feature was a comparison of all the hot hatches around at the moment. As I'm trying to decide between a couple of these cars, it was quite good.

Honda Civic Type R was the favourite. And my fave, Ford Focus ST, came third.

The ST is a wicked good car Very Happy

Twas great to have the show back. Very Happy
They made a road in 24 hours, and showed Hammond's crash. I didn't know he had done 2 successful runs before the crash.
James May desparately needed a haircut!

It was great. May made such a mess of the traffic diversion signs, and then Hammond put them all the wrong way round at the end.
And May throwing Clarkson's megaphone under the roller to stop his speeches was awesome. lol

I reckon Sunday's episode here was the best ever! Very Happy
The whole thing was film of their trip to America where they each had $1000 to buy a car, and drove it across several states.
So many great moments. Hammond almost going into the aligators, the cow on Clarkson's car, the slogans in Alabama ("Hillary for President", "Nascar Sucks" etc). So good.

I suppose much of it is staged for TV, like there wouldn't have been aligators in the lake at the end of the actual straight they used, and they surely didn't eat that cow or squirrel etc. But still hilarious nonetheless.

Yeah that was hilarious. I have that episode on dvd.  It was also on tv the other week, but they cut out the chase scene after the petrol station incident.

Quote
TOP Gear stars Jeremy Clarkson and James May nearly plunged to an icy death — in one of the show’s most daring stunts.

The duo race to the North Pole by 4x4 to try to beat co-host Richard Hammond who travelled by dog sled.

At one point they have to drive over a dangerously thin ice field which cracks.

Jeremy told TV Biz: “I feared for my life.”

In the show he says: “The nearest hospital is 1,500 miles away.

“We began to understand the danger of where we were and what we were doing.”

Meanwhile the Hamster has his own difficulties, saying: “I had a little weep, haven’t done that for years.”

The stunt airs on Top Gear on BBC2 tonight at 8pm.

Is the new series starting tonight???

On Sunday's episode, Hammond and May attempted to make a spaceship. And failed miserably. lol
