Top100 breakthrough attempt today « on: September 29, 2005, 01:30:18 AM »

Andy Murray will attempt to break into the world's top 100 for the first time when he takes on Sweden's Robin Soderling this morning at the Thailand Open.

If Murray can overcome his second round opponent, he will be awarded automatic entry into January's Australian Open.

Andy's opponent however is no pushover, the 21-year-old fifth seed has won two titles, including the Milan Indoors earlier this year and currently is ranked 41st in the world.

Victory this morning would guarantee Murray automatic entry to January's Australian Open.

If Murray does manage to overcome his Swedish opponent, he could get the daunting task of facing US Open semi-finalist Robby Ginepri in the quarter-finals.

The Scot is scheduled to be on Stadium at 0600 BST.
