Djokovic choked on the big points, can understand since it's his first GS final. USO title #4 for Fed, he's still the undisputed numero uno.

Federer 6-4 Djokovic
Federer gets to 30-30, and just two points from the title, with a superb backhand smash and a fizzing return but an ace takes Djokovic to game point. Federer then produces the most incredible angle with a backhand for deuce. Djokovic goes for a big second serve and wants to challenge but he can't! He's gone and used them all, hasn't he? It's championship point but NoDjo finds a delicate forehand angle. Another backhand error gives Fed a second chance though... and he nest a backhand! It's over and Federer slumps to the court.
Fed Express rolls right on through...

Just watched the match. Straight sets is certainly not a fair reflection of the match, and if anything Djokovic was probably the better player. Federer actually played quite poorly. So many errors. Djokovic only has himself to blame. Should have been 2 sets up, and then suddenly finds himself 2 sets down. No coming back from that against the top man.

I think Djokovic did well getting so many chances under the pressure, shame he threw them all away. Eventually, it cracked him mentally.

So Fedex won............again
Haven't had chance to see any of the match, although I'm not that bothered
I must say that I don't like Rog wearing the black though

Just 2 titles behind Sampras now. Barring injuries he'll level that next year at the very least.

I agree.
Listened to the match on 5Live.
Sharapova was in Novak's box.

Yes they kept showing her there. Interesting. Obviously wasn't too put out by his impression of her the other day. I imagined steam coming out of her ears.

It would seem that Roddick hasn't put her off tennis players then

That was totally all about experience. You can't help but feel sorry for Nole. He had that match in his hands and messed it up. You can't waste that many set points against Fed in a GS final. Encouraging signs though. Nole is definately someone who will be able to challenge Fed for those GS titles in the future.

0022: Well, it's been emotional. Djokovic gets a great reception from the New Yorkers
and looks suitably embarrassed when a red-faced Maria Sharapova appears on the big screen, to wolf whistles all round. There's definitely something going on there
. Federer picks up the trophy and that's your lot. It's been fun, and thanks for your texts and comments, - now back to bed/work/school/uni for the lot of you. I need a cuppa.
Very interesting....

Oh, come on, Sharapova was on a massive ego trip.
She spent more time checking she was on the screens than watching the match! Doesn't Nole have a g/f already?
Meeeeeooooowwwwwww.
I really, really dislike her these days.
