The Reserve Bank and the Ministry of Economic Development are probably the best places for using what I have actually studied although I'm not that keen to move to Wellington by myself where I won't know anyone. Chances at the Reserve Bank are extremely small anyway as they only take about 2 people from the whole country so not even expecting an interview.

Well I do have an interview with the Reserve Bank next week. Different type of interview to PWC. "There will be no inter-personal questions (ie, teamwork, communication skills etc). It will be all based around your area of study or economic type questions." Time to study their website and the current situation in NZ so I can answer some questions! Also had to put down several "controversial economic policies" I was "interested" in (ie, I put down current stuff I was aware of) on the application so should also study what's happening with them at the moment!
I guess they prefer to see people who are knowledgeable and know their stuff whereas PWC were more interested in a flashy out-going arse-licker. This type of interview should suit me more. Probably got close to 0 chance as they'll go for their summer interns and people with double degrees or Masters/PhDs but it's more interview experience and not very keen to move to Wellington anyway.
PWC are arseh**es really. Don't know a good person when they see one. Not necessairly myself, but also my friend who got rejected straight away. She's got a double degree and she's doing Law honours and she went to one of the top schools in the country. Spoke to another friend at graduation yesterday and he got rejected straight from the application. Didn't even get invited there for testing which was the stage before the interview. Yet he ended up actually getting offers from both Ernst & Young and Deloitte! So obviously he's pretty reasonable. They also rejected my Dad years ago when he was young, before I was born I believe. You couldn't find a more intelligent, reliable and hard-working accountant than him in the world, bias aside. Currently he deals with PWC auditors at his company and he says they are all morons, and half of them can barely even speak English. They don't seem to know a good person when they see one.

Sent my retention document back to the DVLA so I don't lose my Morton reg plate whilst I'm abroad.

I'm also checking out car insurance, I can't believe that is nearly a year I've been out in Germany nervous

Worth the wait though... Very Happy

OMG I just remembered something funny that happened at work, one of the girls is getting married so a card went around for us to all sign and towards the end of the day one of the girls who wrote in it saw balloons at the other girls desk and said "Ohh she is getting married?  I thought it was her Birthday!"  She'd written Happy Birthday in it!! roflmao  Luckily it was her Birthday last week and this girl was on holiday at the time so she might be able to get away with it.

I'm sure she'll find it quite funny though.  Its not a serious wedding because its her second one.  Shes only been planning it for less than a month or so.
