ANDY MURRAY fulfilled his childhood dream yesterday - by playing against tennis legend Andre Agassi.

The pair practised at Queen's Club in London ahead of the Stella Artois Championships which begins on Monday.

SunSport columnist Murray has been on the full ATP tour for 12 months and this was the first time the pair have ever met.

Agassi, likely to be playing the grass court season for the last time before retiring, spent nearly two hours with the British whizkid.

Murray, 19, said: It was great to play against Andre. He hits the ball so hard and it was a real test to face him.

Agassi is without doubt one of my heroes. He's one of the greatest players the sport has ever seen.

In a rigorous workout, the British No 2 showed no signs of the back injury which wrecked his chances of beating Gael Monfils in the first round of the French Open.

"SunSport columnist Murray has been on the full ATP tour for 12 months"

Makes it sound like his full time job is a Sun reporter and he's been doing investigative journalism on the Tour as part of that.
