I got it today, I was relieved to find I have an ideal BMI but then again I know at the moment I look fairly fat regardless so I'm aiming to lose 1 stone in 1 month and the Wii Fit is going to help me Very Happy

It's good fun but I don't really think you can judge it so early, I'll have to see if it helps me lose weight first.

I hope you put that stone on since I met you last year cause you weren't anywhere near "fat" lol In fact I'd say you were underweight if I had to choose.

11 and a half stone... BMI was 23.8 or something.

Fair play, I was going to say I think 10 1/2 - 11 stone would be ideal for you.

Fancy shifting that stone over to me! lol Due to my annoyingly fast metabolism, I weigh currently under 10 stone..... it's not healthy when you are nearly 6ft tall lol

And yes, I know all the girls will say "oh i'm so jealous i wish i could eat what i want". Well it's no fun being under weight either :p

The only way I seem to be able to put on weight is by going to the gym and doing weights...... but I can't be bothered! Very Happy

I do envy you but then I do appreciate it's not all good being skinny as it's not very masculine and would make you feel weaker. But for girls it's all positives Smile

Well I wouldn't say that. I've never been happier with my body than I am now. I'm not far off peak condition, it;s dropped a bit because the squash season (which i did play 3 or 4 times a week) is all but over and i'm losing some of that fitness, but the scales tell me i'm losing weight. The heaviest I have been is 11 stone but that was over a year and a half ago when I used to go to the gym all the time when I lived in Edinburgh. Ever since I moved home I stopped.... A little bit more bulk wouldn't hurt though is what i'm saying.

It's more of a health concern really. I feel fine but i know it can't be good as I get older....

I should have said that being a skinny guy means that other people may think you're weak even though you might be strong.

I guess I mean that being a skinny guy means that other people may think you're weak even though you might be strong.

Yes this is very true. It's a misconception I don't mind at all. Appearances can be deceiving and all that. lol

I'm aiming to loose half a stone in a month but I'm going to go swimming 2-3 times a week after work (or Saturday's if I'm not rough).

Help. I dont want to wake up in the year 3000!

Re: Wii Fit « Reply #58 on: April 27, 2008, 04:11:04 PM »

I can eat as much or as little as I want. Or I can exercise a lot or do none, and my weight dosent really change. Its always between 70 and 75 kgs. Hasnt changed in the last 5 or so years. I would like to tone my stomach a bit though, and hopefully the wiifit will help me to do that. lol

I'll be eating my dinners earlier in the evening and avoid snacking on bad foods after 9pm... I've always known these things but to see something tell you to do it and then to see your weight increase if you don't really is motivation.
