Yes, considering pre-ordering. I read a review and apparently it does actually make you work hard.

That's whether you consider it a waste.

Wii Fit sold over a quarter of a million copies in its first week,[7] and despite not being released outside Japan, Wii Fit already passed the 1 million sales milestone in just one month since its December 1, 2007 release.[17][18] As of January 20, 2008, Wii Fit has sold 1,113,626 copies in Japan.[8]

1UP.com wrote a positive preview on Wii Fit stating that "there may be no easy route to fitness for me, but Wii Fit feels like something I could do several times a week. And it makes me smile."[19]

I suppose thats not bad if it keeps people entertained for 5 minutes.  I still think its a feeble idea though.

Cheaper than a games console...... Hard to argue with the Japanese sales figures. Would be ideal to get kids active anyway. Not enough of that these days.

Incidentaly, I watched a 15/16 year old run an 11.0 on the bleep test today. This is awesome frankly. Another 15/16 year old got 10.2. When I was 17 I got 10.4 so I was quite impressed by these youngsters. (sorry, bit random there lol )

Here's a fairly decent review.

A snippet that I found interesting,

To jog in Wii Fit you don’t use the Balance Board, instead you just have to put a Wii Remote in your pocket and then begin jogging in front of the TV like some crackpot who jogs in his living room.

The setting for jogging is lovely, mind - a peaceful park/island full of the other jogging Miis who live inside your Wii. There’s a guide jogger who you have to keep up with, and the course loops around until a goal is reached five minutes later. I find five minutes of jogging to be just a bit too long and I end up out of breath as I cross the finish line.

I can't wait for this to come out!!

I was curious how they were going to market Wii Fit on TV.  After seeing the advert I found it strangely scary.

It's lacking any information which is probably intended to provoke the viewer to research into it. Hopefully as we get closer to the release date, they'll end up showing some gameplay.
