Youzhny
What a man! And the way he greets the public after a match is just fantastic.
He's brilliant, top 5 material.
Yeah, I like him, too. But what is with the tennis racket on the head salute? lol
It's goofy, but endearing.

Reminded me of the Nazis.
It's a very original greet though, unlike Sharapova's.

Because he beats Nadal a lot? Frankly Nadal is sh*t on anything other than clay since Wimbledon. Unfortunately Murray got a high performance from him at the AO.

This is my opinion. Nadal is a stupit clay monkey. His #2 rank will not hold up much longer

I also have much doubt over him keeping his #2 position.

No!
I just think Youzhny had charisma and was really nice. He's also an amazing player, he can take Federer when he's on-form.
And what I think about Nadal on hardcourt... Some people just automatically assume that he's only good on clay, but playing on another surface does not take away his technique, it's just not as effective anymore. He can still form a threat to many players when he's fully rested.
He'll keep on improving, once he gets his first serve going even better and if he can start to attack more, he will be king of all surfaces.
But of course if he doesn't manage to do those things, he won't hold the Nr 2 position.

Yeah, I know.
I'm still positive he can take Federer (when Mr Goat plays with one hand).

I'm surprised Youzhny has taken so long to `peak'. Thought he was destined for greatness a few years back then he kind of got stuck but I think if he was more consistent he'd be right up there.

I also think this is the year that Nadal drops from the No.2 spot. Although he could go and have another fantastic 4 months on the red stuff, and be no.2 for a long time to come.

Rafa has 2355 points to defend over the clay season.
The finalist appearance at Wimbledon will also be hard to defend. I can see Roddick catching up with him by the end of the year.

Don't see him doing Wimbledon. And he may fail to take one of the Masters that he did on the red stuff but I still think RG is in the bag. Not to mention the possibility of picking up points in Hamburg where he didn't compete. It'll be interesting to see if his good form does return for him on clay. I personally think it will.

I said that last July... So when I'm right, we'll all know why Cate wouldn't bet me...

Peter Polansky reached the 4th finals of a futures tournament this year. He should be ranked in the top 500 next week and the new Canadian #3.
