Lovely pic of our Champion and the lovely Kim! I'm just delighted for both of them, and Andy's brilliant team too.

Andy was just so brave during the match, just incredible, especially when Djokovic was coming back. I never doubted though, not once. He had to overcome nerves to do it, but you could see he wanted it, and that got him through

They interviewed Ross Hutchins on breakfast TV earlier. He said he spoke to Andy on the phone at around 5am UK time. Andy had been out to dinner. Ross said he sounded so happy!

I thought Andy was brilliant in his interview with Marcus after the match. I hope he's okay after kissing Crofty. Cow looked like she was sat on a nail. I thought what he said about Sky's tennis coverage was so classy too. On the whole I think he is right. Eurosport always makes a pig's ear out of it, but Sky's own channels do well.

I had about three hours sleep in the end, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Stupid Sky plus box did stop recording, and they are only showing highlights today, but this is one match I want on DVD, even if it isn't Sky's coverage I end up with.

I'm so emotionally drained right now. It's been hours and I'm still jumping up and down and dancing around my house. It's finally starting to sink in. A great match, I feel like I lost 15 years of my life watching it, I was so stressed out. Of course I was crying before it was even over. Now let's hope we won't have to wait another 76 years. I see many more slams for Andy, the first one is always the hardest.  trophy

*BLUSH* together I'm watching the highlights ( still in bed though, the joys of retirement) and it's really easy to watch. :p

I dont think I saw many points last night. I was watching through spread fingers. But I'm loving this. I dont think it's sunk in yet. wub

SOOO happy Smile Lovely article on it here:

Particularly love this from Andy "As for where this historic victory leaves him, as a person and a player, Murray said, "I hope it doesn't change me as a person. That would be a bad thing. On the court, hopefully if I get into situations like this in the future I won't be having all the doubts that I was having before the match today.

"[But] I'm still going to have all the same friends and family and stay in the same house and train in the same places. There may be a few more busy press conferences and a few more demands on my time, but that's part of the job and that's worth it."
As for his legacy, he said "I'm very happy to be part of this era in tennis. I think everyone here would agree it's one of the best ever. Playing against [Nadal, Federer and Djokovic] has made me improve so much. I always said that maybe if I played another era I would have won more, but I wouldn't have been as good a tennis player."

Sir Alex:

"I'm really proud for the boy. That was a real test of a champion for me. I love watching tennis. It was more nerve-wracking than a Premier League match. I'm usually in control of my own situation but I wasn't in control tonight."

Ha, Jimmy Carr still can't believe Andy won. What a fanboy. Very Happy

@jimmycarr Andy Murray has just made me cry. The man is a God. I'm so happy. - SWEET!

Also, does Andy still have anything left in the tank for sex?

Funny, but true, since a tennis match can go up and down every other second.

It's been hours and many other things have happened, but this is the greatest moment for the week, month, probably the rest of the year for me. I forget for a minute and then suddenly a voice whispers, 'Andy won,' and there's this bubble of joy in my chest and I start grinning like a loon.

I can't even believe I made it through the rest of the day when I'd been so emotionally exhausted after the match. I could barely stand up!

God, still so happy and proud. Andy Murray: thanks for proving to all of us why we love and support you. I'm happy that you're so happy.

Just brilliant. I'm so, so happy that Andy has finally had the 'Fred Perry' burden lifted from his shoulders. Can't stop smiling!
