So you think anger is abnormal?

In this context, certainly.

So why did you make a silly post like that then, if you never went to bed?

What Murray needs is confidence and I believe beating a Djokovic, Nadal or Federer will be the perfect treatment for Andy. He will be back just have to be patient. Positive is on grass Murray will always be the guy to beat, like Nadal on clay he is feared on that surface. Patience is a virtue peeps. Smile

Um, because I wanted to say I was happy he won the second set. You are picking irrelevant information out of my posts and trying to mould it into attempts of attention seeking. Its just not.

So what if I didn't go to sleep, it doesn't make it attention seeking.

Why do you lie then?

Well instead of making up some utter shit. Why not be honest?

You never went to sleep, so why say  "OMFG! I wake up because I feel nervous and I see this. Mr Murray, legend."

It really makes NO SENSE whatsoever.

Technically I didn't lie because I did fall asleep for 10 minutes then woke up again because I was anxious about the result.

There you go, you've got it, it may not make sense, but it doesn't mean its attention seeking.

You've lied now, you said you were going to bed. Still can't judge.

Maybe his fear of slipping again was the underlying cause of the shoe/court distraction at the end. It was so frustrating - but maybe the need to protect his body during this rehab time is still very much at the forefront of his mind.

I can more come to terms with it if I can rationalise it.
So, at least he lives to fight another day - and it'll be good to see Lendl in his corner again.

There are subtle differences between emotions.  Annoyance is acceptable.  Anger is not.  Those who find it necessary to shout and swear, be it face-to-face or on a forum, have not only lost the argument and the plot, they have also lost the respect of those with whom they are in discussion. What happens when you can't shout any louder or swear more offensively - perhaps you actually calm down.  Cream always rises to the top.

You contradicted yourself there, you say he did not throw it away, but then you say he lost it for unknown reasons. Lol.

No contradiction at all. He lost the match. You and the other idiots are saying he threw the match away, for some reason best known to himself. Me and the other grown ups, are postulating that because his stamina is not back up to normal levels, the fact that some of his shots in the tie breaks went wrong might be due to to the effects of fatigue creeping in. I can only speak for myself but when I am tired my coordination goes to pot.

Being angry is normal. I would argue that being so angry and throwing what amounts to a full blown tantrum when a tennis player loses a tennis match, is not. It suggests an imbalance in people's lives.

I am retired on health grounds, and have a lot of time to waste. I follow Murray and obviously want him to win. I am disappointed when he loses, bit it doesn't make me angry with him. I can see good reasons as to why he lost today, and there are many positives we, and he can take from this tournament.  I have had several operations under general anaesthetic, and I know just how long it takes to get over surgery. I also know that there can be an impact on your head state. I have said elsewhere when I was given a new pain free hip, it took me months to learn how to trust it. I also went through a long process of having to learn to walk again in a different way. It is not just the operation site that will have been effective by his injury. He will undoubtedly have been using the wrong muscles for doing certain actions. Recovery from surgery is far more complicated than people think.

I am also a realist. The pressures on his body from what he has put it through day after day since he was a child,  will be having an impact.

If the surgery has sorted out the worst of the pain - great, but the margins at this level are so fine that he may never be quite as good again, and any amount of hurling abuse and vitriol won't change that.

Equally it won't change the fact he has won Olympic Gold and Silver medals at his home games, won the US a Open and been the first British winner of Wimbledon in 77 years.

People just need to grow up, and I am afraid that includes you.

Lets be real here, Andy just had surgery and has done decent since his return... ...3 quarter Finals and a Semi FInal. A lot less worrying than phis form in 2011 after losing the AO Final convincingly. I think Nadal's form when he return has made people have high expectations for Muzza. I think Nadal's form when he return has made people have high expectations for Muzza. But he's his own player and will return to form in time...
This is what I was afraid of.  Comparisons with Nadal, yet there really is no comparison because both situations are completely different.

Andy lost today to an extremely promising young player.  Yes I remember only too well the Andy of post AO 2010 and 2011 who in the early part of the season was losing in an embarrassing fashion to players he should have beaten easily, but that certainly wasn't the case today.  And he's only been back playing competitively for two months after a lengthy lay-off, so what the **** do people expect?

I'm disappointed for Andy, but not with him. I didn't see all of it, woke up halfway through the second (my fault, he was doing okay until I put it on Smile ), but it appeared as if it was going well.

I don't quite understand why the comms don't understand that at this early stage of Andy's comeback there will be uncharacteristic errors in his game, and that is what this one came down to. To me it's logical, but there we are. That's not to take it away from Dimitrov at all, but Andy did make some errors he would not usually make.

In that last tie-break I did feel that perhaps fatigue was a factor. Andy wasn't moving quite as well as he had been.

I'm not going to worry about this one. Andy is on the way back. He'll get there.
