Looks like an Olympics PR shot designed to feature the logo.
Maybe, but in various videos of Andy hitting with Rafa in Mallorca I saw him way behind the baseline, and there are several photos of different shots of Andy yesterday on both the centre court and an outer court with him playing that far behind the baseline and not all of them are professional shots.
I think he just ended up miles behind the baseline a few times. First time on these courts, feeling them out etc. Don't want to see too much of it during matches though!

Yes well deserved Andy hope he has a great Olympics.
Well if this doesn't inspire him then nothing will. Not that I think he needs much inspiring anyway!

I thought all swimming events took place in the pool?
Never mind the shitty water though - despite having 85,000 extra security men scouring the streets of the city, two Chinese athletes have been robbed of their cameras and phones, and a NZ competitor held at gunpoint and taken to an ATM where he was forced to withdraw the maximum amount of cash.
If I remember right it was part of the pentathlon, or one of the "athlons" at least. I remember wondering about the hygiene aspect at the time!

There are Open Water swimming events over 10k. It's nothing to do with the pentathlon events.

From what I've read competitors who are having to be on or in the water are taking all sort of precautions to stop them coming into contact with the stuff, like the US rowing team who will be clad in seamless unisuits which are knitted with antimicrobial material. Fair enough, but I can't find anything which tells me what swimmers are going to do to stop water getting into their mouths or up their noses. Wear some sort of mask maybe?

I think it's the Triathlon were they have to swim, then cycle and then run!

Andy confirmed as flag-bearer

Awww.. so happy for Andy.
I loved what he said. But I loved what others said about
him
even more. He truly is a living legend. Aren't we lucky to witness this?
Team GB Chef de Mission Mark England:
“The conviction with which Andy spoke to me about the honour of carrying the flag only underlined why he is such an exceptional individual, and absolutely the right choice..When I asked Andy to lead our team out it was received with a humility and grace that is befitting of the values of Team GB. It was an emotional moment for him personally, and for this team. I will be incredibly proud to hear him address the team and I have no doubt he will inspire our athletes and the nation alike.
Tennis Team Leader Iain Bates:
“He is a fantastic athlete at the very top of world sport, but not only that, an athlete that embraces and demonstrates the Olympic values in everything he does, on and off court. He is a great role model and thoroughly deserves this accolade. I know he is over the moon at being selected and I'm sure he will do himself and our country proud on Friday.”
