Tears of Joy. Nice to see him get emotional it just shows how he feels to be home in Scotland. Good support from the crowd too. He played great and everyone seemed happy for him. Have a rest Andy then you can prepare for the hardcourt season. I am sure we all wish you well

I feel that we are about to witness a totally different Andy. His emotions came through as did his maturity. This Davis cup series in Glasgow has put into the shade his defeat by Nadal in Wimbledon.

Perhaps this weekend's victory is to Andy what last year's victory of Serbia over France was for Djokovic. I believe so, hence the tears.

Well done everyone in Team GB

Oh can you imagine in a year's time, if we could look back and say 'that was the turning point'...

Great pictures - very emotional for Andy I think coming home has done him good.  He seemed astounded by the level of support that was there for him.  He is a legent up here and a brilliant role model for youngsters taking up the sport.  I think the tears were a sign just how much winning the tie meant to him - lets face it he kind of did most of the work - but it was nice that he spoke about Colin Fleming and Ross Hutchins still being part of the team.  If playing Loch Lomond before a match has that effect on him then I propose that he puts that on his IPod before each tourny !!!!!  Welcome home Andy you did us proud.

I shed a tear or two for him today because I feel like, for a very very long time, we've seen a facade of a highly stressed individual who has a whole nation on his shoulders and today he gave us everything we could have asked for... the same tears of joy that we may see at a slam one day. Smile

I think every Andy Murray fan is hoping this will be the start of something that we all know he is capable of achieving.  He came across today as a totally great young man - giving his all for his country and being so pleased and emotional at being back home.  There is something very special about being Scottish and obviously Andy feels it.  What amazing support he received from the crowd and all his family that were watching him.  Brilliant way to get over the dissapointment of Wimbledon.  Come on Andy use this as a springboard to achieve what you so desperately want and deserve and what we all want you to have .........  The USA awaits -Muzza all the way....
