I didn't state the date in my intro, but you will find it under Events on the main home page, and yes it does start tomorrow.
Anyway given the general lack of interest I might as well not have bothered opening this thread!
Aileen,
I found it interesting! I see that we have early morning matches to follow with their time being so far ahead of us, Cameron has his tomorrow morning.
Just wondering if Andy can convert against Tennys this time and then beat an Aussie to have two or three matches at this event. It would be good for him to progress to play Coric after (assuming he does not make a mess of things) so he can experience a much higher standard of play. That could be inspirational? Borna, in my experience, can be really good but is still beatable? I think if Andy can get in a couple of wins though that would be good for both his game and his mental fitness playing again.

It's certainly a very challenging field for Andy at this stage, although I think any player is a challenge right now, but I do hope that the draw is reasonably kind to him.
Andy is being realistic about his comeback before Zhuhai tournament.

MA - Thank you!
Yes the timing is the worst aspect of the Asian swing unfortunately, not just for us in the UK but the US as well.
I just hope and pray that Andy will beat Sandgren this time because he was so close in Winston-Salem. I'm not sure Andy would get past Aussie whiz-kid de Minaur, assuming he beats John Millman who caused a massive upset by beating Federer in last year's USO. As for Coric, he's just been thrashed 6-3, 6-1 by Daniil Medvedev in the final of the St Petersburg Open, which was today, so might be a little fatigued when he gets to Zhuhai, plus not having much time to acclimatise.

Thanks for that. Realistic and honest from Andy as usual. Unfortunately as you know, physicality apart, the other harsh reality is that Andy could come up against any one of the top players in the early rounds of his next three tournaments, particularly in Shanghai.
A bit unfortunate too that we're coming to the end of the season, although if general speculation is to be believed, baby Murray No.3 is on its way. I too think Kim is pregnant, having seen what she wore at Queens and Wimbledon, plus the usual attempts (coats, handbags, etc) to cover the baby bump, but will leave you and others to decide! -

Inevitably, but quite rightly given how much he values his private life, Andy has never confirmed this publicly.

I was just looking through Amazon Prime tennis coverage and even though it wasn’t originally listed, the Zhuhai tournament is being shown from tomorrow? Does anyone have an update?

You're right. Have just checked and AP are indeed showing it now.
I do have TennisTV but it doesn't necessarily show all the matches, particularly when it comes to 250s, and are very stingy with replays.

I wonder if they made a mistake with their original list or if Andy’s inclusion in the draw prompted a change? Whatever, the reason that’s good news. Replays are great, especially when matches are on too early or late depending on the time difference.

I could be wrong but I suspect Andy playing could well have something to do with it. I think I'll dump TennisTV in favour of Amazon when my current subscription expires, mainly because of the former's poor replay policy.

Hi everyone, I have been busy all week with Sweet Adeline international competition in New Orleans. Forth Valley chorus from Scotland got in the finals for the first time and did quite well. This is a women’s a capella singing organization and I sing in a chorus here in Missouri. Thanks Aileen for the thread on the Asian Swing. I do hope Andy does well, but the article I read he seems uncertain about his come back.

Well done to the Forth Valley Chorus!
I think it's only natural that Andy should be uncertain about his comeback. In fact I'd be very worried if he said otherwise! Hopefully by the time the Asian swing is over he, and we, might have a better idea of just exactly where he is right now, and that that is positive.

Obviously I can't be certain, but given Andy's huge fan base in China, I'd say that his R1 match will be an evening one, which means a 7:30pm start, i.e. 12:30pm BST - which is more UK friendly, although unfortunately not for the US.
Btw if anyone would like to see the tournament's website, then go here, hopefully getting your browser's offer to translate it into English -

Looking at tennis channel, the tournament is starting tonight at 10 pm central time. I have it all recording. I believe if Andy is playing the night match starting at 7:30 then that would be 6:39 am my time. Good luck Andy boy, beat Tennyson.

Where to watch in the UK - unfortunately Amazon Prime aren't covering it, preference being given to Chengdu, it but TennisTV is. Hopefully though a free live stream will be found for both Andy's and Cameron's matches. Play starts Mon-Fri at 1:30pm local, 6:30am BST.
Andy's match tomorrow will be showing on Amazon Prime Video after all, at I think 12.30pm UK time. There is a match from the Zhuhai Championships being shown now.
I watched the Laver Cup on Friday on Eurosport and found it frustrating that they switched to commercials as soon as a game finished. On Thursday I found out that matches were after all being shown on Amazon, without commercials and heard the advice being given to players by Rafa. Detailed advice was given to Roger when he was a break down in the second set which he successfully followed.

I caught the end of the Laver Cup on Amazon Prime too. It felt surreal seeing everyone working together, but it was interesting to see another side of the players.
