Andy Murray at Wimbledon - June 24 - July 7, 2013

I'm really surprised Mayer isn't seeded, given reached the QFs last year and at #33 that surely should have been enough to push him up into the seeding positions. Rosol just missed out as well.

Anyone knows how this -draw- system works? I would say that the 5h seeded has to play against number 4. Is it just as random?, so is it 25% chance that Andy meets Nadal?

I don't think I've ever been so curious about the draw. How late is itFriday?
The only bits that aren't random are that the 25-32 seeds will face the 1-8 seeds, and that the 13-16 seeded players face the 1-4 seeds.

So yeah, the odds of drawing any quarter-finalist are 1/4.

Murray's potential R3 opponents are: Paire, Dolgopolov, Anderson, Chardy, Dimitrov, Fognini, Benneteau, Robredo

Potential R4 opponents are: Haas, Tipsarevic, Almagro, Kohlschreiber

Paire would be good. Dolgopolov's form has been poor this year, so he'd be good too, if he made it that far. Dimitrov would be unlikely, in my view, to handle Andy in a best of five on grass, or anything else for that matter. All in all round three doesn't look too bad.

In the 4th round Tipsy's had a bad time hasn't he, so would he make that? Haas and Kholi stand out there for me, but I think Andy is better than both of them on the surface.

Ah well, soon see I suppose.

I see that Raonic (No 1 Seed at Eastbourne) was knocked out today, he had a bye into the 2nd round which I think does not always help a player. He seems to have gone off the boil this year poor performance on clay and now grass so far this year.

Raonic had hit his ceiling. No surprises to see him declining rapidly.

Madhatter, thank you to make it clear. Best would be Ferrer in the same half and D, Nadal en federer in the other one. The opposite: Ferrer in the half of D and a quarter against Nadal and sf against Federer the worst. All the other options from seeding the top 5 are just regular. Two days to go...

If Nadal/Djokovic/Federer are in the same half then Andy will almost certainly be facing one of them in the final then if he reaches it. Can you imagine what the other players would be thinking if they saw they had those three in their half?

Not sure about that, really. Wimbledon is just next week after all. Perhaps he just didn't want to stay in the tournament anymore.

Raonic will lose in the first round convincingly.

I wonder what the Organizers have in mind. Would they favour Andy or would they still go with the Fedal scenario again especially favouring Federer both draw and schedule-wise? And what would favour Andy? He's not drawing Nole until the final and that leaves both Federer and Nadal. They may put Nadal in Nole's qtr who knows.

I think he also lost his first match in Halle. I doubt he'd tank this one as he could surely be doing with a couple more matches on grass before Wimbledon.

Doubt it. Maybe we should place a bet on it. If I win, you are going to listen to me until the USO. And if I lose, you are going to listen to me until the end of this year. Deal?

Yes, he did but this one feels a bit more deliberate. Well anyway, I guess we will find out soon. I see no reason why he should be so out of form these days though.

Very wise deal but you see Gangsta only spouts, his use of ears is not applicable.
