anyone watching the Janowicz v Melzer match, how is Janowicz playing, is he a threat? I know he is currently down a set in the match, but does he look like making a comeback?

I consider him to be a threat as he destroyed Andy at the Paris masters but i still expect Andy to come through as he is looking so good on the grass & the fact its a slam event.

I don't think he did destroy Andy in Paris, in fact Andy had 2 match points and after that I don't think he went all out after that as  he had the O2 the next week. Like you I think Andy can and will beat him as his return of serves is so good and he can run these big guys around.

JJ didn't destroy Andy in Paris at all. Andy had match points and an eye on the WTF, simple as that. He was also knackered at the end of last year after winning his first major.

I've just read what I think is a rather nice, positive comment from a Fed fan which appeared below today's match report on MSN -

Roger Federer is my hero, but the way Andy Murray is winning his matches reflects his confidence after winning US Open. My guess is he wants to say thank you to everyone who had been there for him when he broke down in tears last year. Well done today Andy. God Bless and c'mon!

There's a couple of Federer fans on twitter who are rooting for Andy because they don't want Djokovic to win. They really hate Novak. That said, I don't think they'd be too unhappy with an upset for Andy.

Briton vows not to quit despite flare-up as Robson’s Wimbledon dream comes to end

WORLD No2 Andy Murray revealed he underwent extra medical treatment after his straight-sets win over Mikhail Youzhny swept him into a sixth consecutive Wimbledon quarter-final, but insists he would never dream of quitting through injury.

The 26-year-old Scot overcame the No20 seed 6-4, 7-6, 6-1, showing all his battling qualities to recover from 5-2 down in the second set, though at times he grimaced while holding his side, prompting fears he could join the grand slam record-equalling 13 players to have retired hurt in this tournament.

But Murray, who missed last month’s French Open with a back injury, says he will never succumb to pain.

“I would never stop,” said last year’s runner-up, who meets unseeded Spaniard Fernando Verdasco in the quarter-finals.

“Now that I’m playing there’s no chance I would stop, unless I couldn’t hold the racquet. My back is what it is. It’s felt way better than it was a few weeks ago. There’s no cause for concern.

“I had 20 minutes longer treatment than the last few days. But I just want to make sure that in this tournament I do all the right things. I want to take care of my body. It’s my main priority.”
