Hi and welcome "Lucky????2 David. (
pushing it aren't you? )
I think we've all on this site said that we are first and foremost interested in his tennis, but, as the best player that this Island may ever produce and given the way he's grabbed tennis by the balls and made it accessible, then of course people are going to speculate on his private life. It's just how things are these days.
He's not a Tim where, to be honest, apart from Wimbledon, most people haven't a clue what he's doing. They just knock him for being the publicity shy, private person he is and for not making a final. Yet are still totally ignorant about his tennis elsewhere.
. It makes my blood boil at how he is denigrated.
Andy is different. He thrives on the attention. That's why he relishes the Big Occasion and plays such stupendous tennis against the big guys. Unike Tim, you never feel his mind is going to let him down. That is the single most impressive trait IMO.
With that comes all the media hassle (heck he's the fastest riser on Celebdaq...I didn't even know he'd been listed) so he and his g/f, of which I'm sure, at the age of 18, will be the first of many, deserve all the privacy and happiness they get. But better to be open and co operative than hide things, eh?
Once you are a Celeb,(which he is now) all the rules go out the window. It's just part of the fame game. Sad, but true.
