I always remember how smug Querry was that day, even though it was obvious that Andy was struggling.

Yes, 2020 will not be missed. The best quote I’ve  read so far is someone saying they are staying up on Hogmanay - not to see the New Year in, but to make sure 2020 leaves.

I know and I've never forgiven him for that, and nor do I believe his claim that he "didn't know" there was anything wrong.

I think a lot of people will be doing the same!

Hello Apollo.  I hope you are managing OK in these difficult times.
Andy and I are both bionic as I had my second hip replaced 6 weeks ago. I’m doing okay walking with and without a cane. Had a good Thanksgiving with two of my daughters who it was safe to be around. It’s crazy in the US with Covid, the corrupt election, the crazy governors wanting to lock down everything. I believe in being cautious, but I’m not going to live in fear. Hope you all are well.

I'm well apart from a couple of age-related problems, although fortunately arthritis isn't one of them, apart from some osteoarthritis in my fingers.  I'm glad though that you've found the replacement ops helpful and I do know people to whom they've given a new lease of life.  It's good that you managed to enjoy Thanksgiving despite all the ongoing problems in the US. I agree with you about lockdowns, although at least the second one here isn't quite as restrictive as the first, although the government keeps threatening us with a third if things get worse once the five-day Christmas 'break' is over.

As the ATP have voted Andy's match against Yoshihiito Nishioka at the USO one of the best Slam comebacks of 2020, I thought I'd post these extended highlights (41 mins 19 secs)

PS - I'd forgotten just how close sets 3 and 4 were!  nervous

As we won't be seeing Andy for a while, I thought I'd post this.  The video clips are in the article, which is dated 3 January, along with a breakdown of each one if you want to read them.

"The five best tiebreaks of Andy Murray’s career"

"From 2011-2020, Andy Murray has had the second best tiebreak winning percentage on the ATP Tour at 64.62% (second only to Novak Djokovic). This statistic shows that Murray is a cut above the rest when it comes to performing under pressure. Murray is such a clutch player – numbers like these make it apparent why the term the “Big Four” rather than the “Big Three” is preferred by many.

In honour of his spectacular tiebreak record over the last decade, the following article explores the five best tiebreaks of Andy Murray’s career."

I'd never heard of Chunkz until now but the video is quite amusing.

WATCH: Andy Murray takes on YouTuber Chunkz in skills challenge

Murray and Chunkz showed off their tennis shootout and tennis kick ups prowess at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton recently.
