I agree.  The celeb world is often portrayed as being full of sex-mad bedhoppers, but they're not all like that.  Some of them are able to focus on their careers.

Hi Apollo, well, I am not really and truly into anyone else's relationship. The reason why I asked is because I noticed a trend here and was wondering if a break-up would affect some of the fans here. I saw very, very mixed emotions when Andre and Steffi hooked up in 1999. Some fans even left Agassi while some became his fan but that was a very high profile matchup since both Andre and Steffi were big time tennis players. Kim Sears doesn't come anywhere near that in that sense.

I remember Pete's break up with Kimberly Williams and like Kim Sears here, a lot of Sampras fans were totally into her (Medvicsek for one if you remember) but Pete most definitely wasn't ready for a marriage at that time and Kim kind of pushed it, so they broke up instead. I remember a lot of the fans not being happy at all about the decision - not that anyone left him but was just a bit unhappy about his decision. Can't say same thing won't happen here. I don't care either way I must say since I am here solely because of Andy and his tennis. It could have been some other girl instead of Kim and my feelings would have remained the same. I just want to see Andy happy in a relationship, because it affects one’s career as well if there are too many ups and downs…like the one Agassi had going for a while in the 90s.

Or it will split them up and I don't think any of us would want to see that. Personally I don't think it's anyone's business but theirs if they marry or not. They seem happy and very much in love as they are. They are both still young , they have plenty of time.

I can assure 2xtreme that marriage does not automatically give a couple more confidence and happiness.  Some couples are best left unmarried - left free to do their own thing without the responsibilities that marriage brings, and it strikes me that, for the moment at least, this would seem to be the best thing for Andy and Kim.  He has his tennis career whilst Kim is forging a niche for herself with her artistic paintings, and it's obvious that it's working well for both of them.  Things might change once Andy finally hangs up his racket, but that, hopefully, is still a few years in the future, so no need for them to be concerned about it now.

Re getting married,2xtreme-sure,a wedding would be a lovely day for them,but would it really change anything much for them?At this stage,I can't see that it would.

They love each other,are committed to each other,and already live together and share their lives as they would if married.Plus they're both still only 25!When/if they do get married,it'll be because they've decided it's what they want.

Don't feel down about it. Smile  I was speaking as someone who should have stayed unmarried because my boyfriend and I were perfectly happy the way things were.  Unfortunately we bowed to parental pressure and the relationship was effectively ruined, ending in separation after only four years.
