Andy will wear under armour. Under armourray

Quote

Not a tattoo fan, I confess. Certainly not on Andy!
Neither am I.  Can't understand why anyone would want to do this sort of stuff to their bodies, and I can't see Andy being a fan of them either, but you can get transfer tattoos which will wash off naturally in a few days.  Very popular with women apparently, as well as with children.

Oh fair point. Even so, his chest might be too hairy!

I don't think his chest is particularly hairy.  In fact it looks remarkably free of hair except for maybe a bit down the middle of it.

Hmm, I may double check sometime.

Back to topic, I'm upset to discover the stuff about UA, my UA hoodie is so cosy and one of the only branded things I own. Also as a vegan it's worse.

Any update about future sports sponsors? I guess we'll hear nothing until it is announced.

^ You'll find plenty of images online, because I had a look too just to make sure.

I seriously cannot understand why Andy wants to continue with UA as his sponsors given his stance on wildlife protection, particularly as a global ambassador for the WWF.  Hopefully when his contract with them expires at the end of this year he'll go somewhere else.  After all he doesn't need loads of money from sponsorship so doesn't need to go to the highest bidder.

Is there any way you could remove the brand name from your hoodie?

I'll take a look tomorrow re Andy's chest!

I think it's pretty woven in (the UA).

You make a good point about Andy's wider commitments like WWF.  He could afford to go for something very ethically strong (assuming it exists at his level of requirement)

Unfortunately I expected that that would be the case with logo, and I can totally understand how you must feel as a vegan.  I like mainly vegetarian foods but I do eat chicken and fish as well, although not a lot of it.

I was thinking - now that Andy has time on his hands, perhaps he could utilise some of it to bring prressure to bear on UA to put an end to their support of the killing of wild animals by trophy hunters.  After all he's come out strongly against tiger, elephant and rhino poaching in Nepal, so why is he letting this go?   I know some people think he maybe isn't completely aware of what UA are doing, but I find that very hard to believe because Andy certainly isn't stupid.  Also I've seen pleas from fans on his twitter and fb pages so can only assume that either he never reads them or chooses to ignore them.

^  I don't know anything about UA, other than what I've read on this thread.
But I thought Andy's contract with UA ends this year?
But Andy can't please everyone and he must be so busy anyway.  I'm sure he is aware of UB's support of the killing of wild animals by trophy hunters (do UB really support this)?  shocking
I don't suppose he reads everything on Twitter and Facebook, because he really hasn't got the time to do that.  He maybe doesn't know what his fans think re UA, but I think he has enough on his hands right now.
I don't mean that Andy should bypass the killing of wild animals, of course he wouldn't do that.
As he's tied to UA - at least for now - he might feel that now isn't the right time to "upscuttle" things.

Oh sorry can't spell upscuttle - is there such a word? !

Maybe, but he has a management company who I would expect would be very protective of the "Andy Murray" brand?

Like you, I've not researched it and only know what has been commented on these boards, Moonglow. Perhaps there is more to it?

^  I'm sure his management company will be very protective of the Andy Murray brand, yes.
I think there probably is more to it - but I think Aileen or ATL might know something, I think I'll wait and see if they can shed any light on this subject.

Yes there is -

Urban Dictionary: Upscuttle
When everything in a given area seems to go topsy-turvy at once. A sudden capsizing of circumstances or conditions.

Sorry but I don't know anything about Andy's contract with UA, but what I do know about is the number of online petitions I've signed against companies who promote animal trophy hunting.

I do sometimes sign online petitions (do you think petitions do any good)?  I haven't signed any petitions re animal trophy hunting, but I would do that if I could.  We'll have to try to find out a bit more about Andy's contract with UA.
Thanks for the definition of "upscuttle"! lol

Yes I think we all need to.  Let us know if you come to any conclusion, ATS.
