Yes that was the point I was making...that some people are stupid enough to put Deep Heat on an ankle sprain. Ice should be used to reduce swelling. Ice packs are usually applied for 20 minutes at a time every hour as long as swelling persists. If a person plays a lot of sport, it is advisable to know exactly what to do for all situations, if you get injured. It usually means you can get back into your sport as quickly as possible.
