AO R4 : Murray vs Verdasco

Quote

lol! This is why we have Murraysworld. I dont think Wimbledon could mean more to anyone than it did for poor Tim. But Andy grew up in Scotland watching the great Wimbledon finals of old "Agassi, Sampras, big Goran, that has to leave a mark, surely! Plus when he plays at Wimbledon this year it`s gona be crazy, everyone will be behind him! If i could win a Slam i`d rather do it in front of my estatic fans! I dont think it necessarily means as much to Andy as it did to Tim but this is his home tourney with all of his fans and thats got to matter. I wonder!

Just to clear things up people... Im not saying whats his favourite surface or most enjoyable tourney, we know this... US! The question is.. what Slam would mean the most or what one would he choose if he could have his pick!

I think they would all mean as much as each other. A grand slam is a grand slam.

At least, until he gets say 3 of them, and wants the other one. But just now, the first one will matter wherever it is!

No, they all would mean a lot to him but Wimbledon would be the most special - that is the one all players want and he is British so he would want it that little bit more.

In an interview last year I'm pretty sure he hinted that Wimbledon was now his favourite instead of the US Open and I think he suggested in an interview once that Wimbledon would be the best Slam to win.

Looking at the OOP for tonight, there wont be a Hisense evening session. Andy should be on Laver day session with Nadal V Gonzalez the Laver night match.

He's 4th on Hisense, after 3 ladies singles. So that'll be about 6am or so our time, 5pm his time...

I suppose a late evening match is preferable but i really am suprised that Blake V Tsonga is the night match.

Also Andy is gonna clash with Rafa which is not good.

The time of his match is difficult to work out when there are three women's matches first but I expect all will be clear later. I'll go for Andy to win in three sets although four is a possibility.

Hoping it's around 5 - then be able to watch it before work!  Smile

BBC commentator has just said to expect Andy on court between 5 and 6 a.m. tomorrow - we'll have to get up early.
