I think he's using some "protected ranking" thing that you get if your ranking drops due to injury. You get to pick a handful of tournaments in the year where you use your old ranking.

Should be. But do we have hopes of a top 16 dropout? There were a couple above that in the US. Having said that, it's still a little while away and there's no guarantee that Andy'll still be 16th then, he may be higher, he may be lower. (obviously rooting for higher!)
