It's really sad that Tim isn't playing qualies. He would be seeded at number one.

So they're not giving him a WC? A past champion at that!

Nothing has been decided till now. He may get one.
But we can't complain if they don't. Clement has two titles this year, Gicquel is in great form, P.H. Mathieu is young and a great crowd puller and then you have Gilles Simon, Benneteau and loads others.
I hope that they'll be kind to Tim.

Yes, he mentioned on his website that there were lots of Frenchmen wanting a wild card. We can only live in hope!

You can't really blame them.
I want Tim to get a WC because I'm British.
From a French point of view, it would be really disappointing for the fans and won't help French tennis at all.

It will be lovely if any of the following matches happen in Paris -
Nadal vs. Murray, Nadal vs. Berdych and Nadal vs. Gasquet.
Nadal is like... the most hated tennis player in France.
And rightly so, even though I don't appreciate the jeering.

There was me thinking Nadal would have been liked after his 2 French Open wins.
It might have been Arka that explained that's because of a mistranslation, which made him seem as if he was praising himself.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail.

Yeah that's right. But mob mentality is such that it's likely to continue.
I'd love to see him play Berdych again.
Although some more Joachim Johansson wouldn't be bad either.

My views on those issues are so controversial that for once I won't post my thoughts.

Hmmm.... according to Alex's site, he may skip Aachen and try to qualify out here just in case he goes out early in Nottingham.
He is playing some of his best tennis these days, so he'll have a chance of doing well. I mean, he has wins over people like Jo Johansson on fast surfaces.
I'd like to see him win in Nottingham and play in Aachen.
