The Gift that keeps on giving.

10 aces, 81% net approaches. Not bad. Yep, good result. But he must be smarting at giving away the second set, twice. Should still have that clean sheet of dropped sets.

In terms of match stats - interesting Andy's 1st serve % in set one was 78% and then fell significantly in the later sets - just wish he could keep the % up as he will need the extra points on serve when (if) he makes the semi's and final

Great match. Great result. Great interview. Not bad for a guy with no personality.
The way Andy handled all that Grigor hurled at him, should hold in very stead. The way he came back from losing his serve in the 1st and 4th Set just shows his determination and fighting spirit. Having only seen the 1st and 4th sets I feel that he will win the title.

I'm paranoid. But am I paranoid enough?

Dimitrov's vastly overrated. If he's going to make top four, he needs serious work on his backhand.

What did Andy write on the camera
And now I've calmed down, stopped shaking and have the feeling back in my fingers

Touch the sky - and touch it he did.

I agree pretty good stats - especially pleased with how often and successfully he came forward to net. Can't agree with you grab. I think Dimitrov is a really talented player and so quick around the court. mp - Andy only starts adding points if he wins the QF as he got that far last year.

During the match MW comments were unnecessarily a little negative. When it got to being 5-2 down in the fourth set I said to my wife that he will play better now he is behind! He did and won. I do not think we can complain. Dimitrov played himself into the ground physically. He took chances and a lot paid off but his lack of good sportsmanship on that double bounce was disgraceful. By the end he was half a metre slower but still trying and a dangerous competitor. I like that but as Matts W said to make so many break chances Andy was the better player and deserved to win. One suggestion. When he has a winning opportunity can he not add 5% of pace on a shot against someone who can run down a lot like himself? Many points were extended or lost because he did not finish off points. Saying that the way he crafted wins on points was as always a pleasure. Your views welcome. WELL DONE ANDY! Looking good in the rankings too. He is on Live rankings 5th at present. A semi place will probably all that is needed to keep that as his rivals are defeating each other. Playing the lowest ranked player left (assumes that Novak beats Muller in R16) should surely get him a easier path for another win? PS Anyone below 4 in top ten that wins AO will go 4th in rankings so that is a good incentive?

David Law on 5 live tweeted that when Andy was 2-5 down in fourth he asked Goran (who was there and commentating) "we going five sets Goran?" Goran said "no, I feel a break coming"
WOW!!!!
