Eeyorebob,
Glad someone else had the same view. Andy is very good when behind and it was the diving by his opponent after lost causes that made me think that it was the most likely outcome. I was worried at 6-5 he might have a drop in form but Grigor was out of it mentally by then!

Yeah I had a feeling it was going 4 (did for one moment worry we would go 5) - and I can only follow on live score as I don't yet have Eurosport.
I will have on Thursday - Andy better stay in till Thursday!

Doesnt help when I'm at work - can more or less guarantee that Andy v Nick will be the night match - meaning it'll be our morning
WW - of course and beyond, I'll have it in time for the final! Andy WILL be there!

Murray took confidence from feeling he was the fitter man in the closing stages, having struggled at times on his return from back surgery in 2014. "For a match that went three and a half hours, physically I felt way better than the last year or so," said Murray. "My body allowed me to play that way for the whole duration of the match. I didn't feel tired. I felt fresh. My back felt good. I wasn't feeling stiff at all."

This match reminded me of the French Open, and I was worried that it might have the same affect on Andy's body that it did then when he eventually came against Rafa. Then I remembered that Andy is probably 20x fitter now than he was then.

Ha ha sayin' it like it is Angie, but very true, I've stopped coming on the match threads during the match cos if he's going through a tough(ish) time then the usual folk are spouting s***, always felt like Andy had another gear to use whereas Dimitrov was trying to play at the top of his game all the time.

Me too Murray magic. Don't need it, don't want it Friends and family do supportive texts and that's cool.

Good win for Andy...I thought he showed good progress from both his mental approach and general play last year. Each round requires a better performance imo... so he'll need to step up again ..he'll be playing a promising player and against the home crowd.

Touch the sky - and touch it he did.

he'll be prepared for the home crowd being against him and that can fire him up. Hopefully it will send NK over the top.
