I Couldn’t agree more. I laid on my bed watching the match. I kept saying cmon Andy you can do this. I couldn’t go to sleep. I saw him make some tired returns and said cmon Andy find some adrenaline. At 2:55 am my time Andy got last and winning point in the tiebreak, oh my, I did he just win that point??? Yes he did, Andy. I loved the interview. Such a happy Andy, and such great respect from the fellow interviewing him.

It looks like Kokkinakis next. He was leading Fognini 6-1, 6-2, 4-2(40-15) on Kia when the heavens opened, and play was finally suspended for the night around 9:30.

If Mateo lost 21 ranking points, be great if Andy received points?. I kniw it doesnt wirk that way but it would be nice.

Matteo only lost 7 ranking points to take him outside the top 20 to No. 21.

A counter puncher like Andy always fights back.

If Fabio cannot find some magic tomorrow, Kokki will only have to play a few points to win in three sets. So hardly exhausting. And he seems to thrive on homesoil.
Last year Andy also played a five-setter vs. Basil. Then I thought that Taro Daniel would present easier opposition. It became a disaster. Andy should remember it and avoid another early exit.

Having just watched a replay if the entire match all I can say is absolutely brilliant from Andy! Who would have thought four years ago here that we would ever see this again.

You can't ask for much more - 4.49 hours, 5 sets, epic tie breakers, missed match point, aging hero pulls out surprise win to delight a packed house.
Well done Andy.
I was one of the privileged to be in Melbourne (visiting relatives) and was able to go and watch this match. It was so emotional at the end and was absolutely fantastic.
Unfortunately I am flying home tomorrow so won't see any more live, but the exhaustion on Andy's body makes me wonder if he can possibly put in another fabulous display. I am so happy to have witnessed this game, it is something I will remember forever. Well Done Sir Andy

It was amazing. I was on the edge of my seat, even though I knew the result!

I see Fognini has been accused of tanking his match with Kokkinakis. It wouldn’t be the first time if he comes back a different player after the rain delay.

Fortunately Kokki went on to take the third 6-2.
