I wonder if he didn't take Zverev seriously enough? No matter how well Zverev played, this should have been routine. Mentally he just didn't seem there.

A serve and volley player is tough to play, I know you all hate Sampras, but he won a lot of matches because he was a serve and volley player and got a lot of balls back because he was at the net. I love you Andy and it's not the end of the world, you just ran into a guy who was in the zone.
Sampras would have routined Zverev 61 62 61. One crucial thing Sampras had in his locker is a great serve. Andy did his best to combat Zverev's net play but whenever Andy breaks, you knew that Zverev would break back. Sampras wouldn't have buckled like that trying to consolidate his serve.

Andy Murray has got to be the worst no 1 I have ever seen the amount of Times he puts the ball into the net is just a joke in fact that is the Nick name I gave him is into the net Murray I will admit he's a good player but No where near as good as Djokovic Federer or Nadal these guys were way way better

Any point will do.

His team were like zombies today. They gave him nothing until the end. Very strange.

MZ plays the kind of tennis that is seldom encountered these days and, was on fire!
I really do think that that was at the root of the problem. I know he beat MZ comfortably in Munich two years ago, but this was another day, another year and another tournament, so comparisons are pointless.

Perhaps they know something we don't. Or were they just shocked?

How you can get out serve and volleyed on a plexicushuon slow hard court is just ridiculous.

I wouldn't care to speculate on that. How you can get out serve and volleyed on a plexicushuon slow hard court is just ridiculous.
I think you've just answered your own criticism of Andy.

I've no idea but it was unusual. It was clear he needed some positive energy and he got nothing. I was disappointed by it.

He will be thrashed, just to add insult to injury.

They've speeded the courts up and used quicker balls that fluff up less. This hands the advantage to S&Vers and Federer.

I'd like to be impartial, but I can't!

Maybe, but it's still a slowish court. Zverev is not a great returnees yet Andy dropped serve 8 times. What was all that about?
