After Basle... qualifying for the Paris Masters I think.

I'm not sure who else is playing Basle... I think maybe Murray will get to the semis this time. Smile

If Andy gets off to a good start in Basle, I think he has a real chance of getting as far as  the semis.  It's difficult to know whether his break will have broken the momentum he had built up.  I just hope he's not given a hard time by the media if he doesn't deliver in this tournament.  He's now becoming pretty high profile, and along with that comes the burden of expectation.  There's loads of time for Andy to reach the top.

However, if I'm honest, I can't help feeling (or maybe it's just hoping) that there are more good things to come from Andy before the year's out.  Smile  racquet

yep, paris masters. if he does well there, he'll make it the end of his season. if not, i think he's planning to play a couple of challengers...maybe....

Surely he won't do any Challengers anymore.  After the Basle tournament he should rise a few places and if he gets into Paris then he should be around 60.  I think he has progressed beyond that and what is the point of playing people lower ranked than him Smile

Andy will play Bratislava
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It has been confirmed that Andy will partake in the Bratislava 100K Challenger the week after TMS Paris as long as he doesn't have a good run in Paris. If so his season will stop there. He is considering playing another challenger the week after Bratislava.

I think if Andy had good draw at the beginning, he may go as far as Quarter-Final - Semi-Final. I am sure that he will win 1st round.  racquet

Umm,I dont want to sound too cautious, but I do feel people here are getting carried away. It's this sort of hype that can put far too much pressure on a rookie player.

Yes he's had a fantastic year, but sooner or later he'll find that other players know his game and a win will be much tougher.

So cut him some slack. He's got a lot of growing up to do, and lots of areas of his game need work.

I'm looking to seeing him emerge as a top player in 18months to 2 years.

Although I'd be happy to be proved wrong. Very Happy

i definitly second Tally's words!  Very Happy Andy's a young kid...at some people can matureast and build their game in no time, but i think with Andy...he might take some time to build up that super proffesional form! Rolling Eyes  I think the earliest that we'll see Andy possibly being a threat to the top 3 playerslike Roddick and Nadal is by Wimbly 2006, very earliest. otherwise i think for now, he still needs to look at many aspects of his game and train - not over train....but work hard toget what he wants!!
prospects for Andyat Basle...i dunno, but let's hope for all the best, and i really do hope he proves me wrong, he might be onto a winner there! Woot!  w00t  bounce

Josh, dunno if you guys have heard about the new doubles rules that start from 2006. that is why the Bryan Bros have to start playing singles, in order for them to stay in the professional doubles world....
if you don't know what im talking about, i'll try and get you an article about these new rules!  Very Happy
