Beijing R2: Murray vs Cuevas

I thought I'd throw in the H2H whilst I'd got time to do it but I see the thread hadn't been started, so here we go!

Match is scheduled for Thursday, time to be confirmed.  Update: 3rd on the main court, so best guesstimate is 4 pm local time, 9 am UK time, 4 am east USA time, and about 9 pm NZ time, so I'm wishing I was in NZ at the moment!

These 2 haven't played for over 7 years. blink  I wonder if Cuevas will see a change?  And vice versa (prompted by Connor's comments) Very Happy

This one really should be straight sets. I don't think Cuevas has the weapons to trouble Murray. He really needs to get through this match easily and not waste energy by dropping the first set as he has done in his previous 3 matches. Going forward, these lost sets will eventually catch up with him. At least he has a day off. Really want him to play Cilic in the quarters.

Agree with ST Essex. Cuevas has beaten some good opponents this year but Andy should be too strong for him. He has to get out of this habbit of giving up the first set so easily.
