Unfortunately Frew McMillan still believes the only players with two-handed backhands of any substances must also have a two-handed forehand.
I used to agree with much of what he said but he is now simply Chris Bradnam's lapdog.
He is a complete dick.... and sooooo out of touch it's not even funny! Sorry..... my language is choice, but I am honestly disgusted by the commentary in this tournie...... bah!!!!

I've not been paying attention... who's the guy you are talking about? Was he in the channelsurfing stream?

Mark, he works with Eurosport. He summarised for David Mercer during the 90s when he was still sane and therefore able to make perceptive calls.

Not sure..... it's Frew and his sidekick Chris...... almost wetting their pants when Fed was playing.....
I think Frew is the one who claims Andy doesn't have what it takes to win a Slam...... Absolute a...... hole!

Roddick very gracious in his speech.
He's a genuinely great bloke is Roddick - much more so than Fed who, despite being an amazing player who you just have to admire, has an underlying hint of arrogance and poor sportsmanship about him.
Murray is making everyone in tennis look totally second rate at the moment - I keep saying it, but his transformation since Queen's last year, when he stepped onto court with short hair and no cap, has been unbelieveable. Between the end of the French and the start of the grass, something seemed to just click. I'm absolutely loving his play these days and long may it continue.
Next stop Melbourne - can anyone stop him?

Hmm... so it isn't the guy with a south african accent is it? On channelsurfing stream today, they both seemed fairly positive about Murray.

Frew keeps running his mouth about how ugly Andy's game is, but that it's effective.

Mark, the South African summarising today on channelsurfing is Robbie Koenig who is still in his mid30s, Frew must be nearing his 70s.

Was Frew even at the game today? Some of the tennis was beautiful to watch.

the tennischannel, american satellite, Robbie and a Brit called Jason Goodall have a production company who do commentary for ATP, including Masters Series.

He's officially an arse. I don't think Andy's game is ugly at all. Just because he sometimes plays to draw the error doesn't make it unattractive in my eyes - I love the tactical nature of it. It's much better than some of the clones that populate the top 100 who just blast it as hard as they can, Tursunov being a prime example.
Andy also has the great ability to turn passive defence into devastating attack, such as his sliced backhands which curve into the corner, setting himself up for an easy volley at the net... or his pinpoint lobs which just take the piss, including one today which had Roddick flapping at fresh Middle Eastern air... or his often exquisite drop shots, which he now seems to use sparingly and only to great effect.
In conclusion, McMillan obviously has some sort of grudge to keep banging on about how Andy doesn't have what it takes to win a slam (if he's not showing it now then just what DOES it take?). I won't be watching Eurosport tennis again at all this year though, so good riddance to him.
