Final tributes

Thank you Tonedial for posting the video.
After a couple days of teary eyes and not being able to talk about Andy without breaking down, I think I am getting better as I see all the interviews on Facebook, seeing him and Sophie watching the Olympics, and reading a great article from Kim. All I wanted was for Andy to leave the sport he loved okay and ready to move on to the next thing.  I’m so happy that Queens Centre Court is going to be named after Andy, so fitting. And yes a statue at Wimbledon would be spot on.  I feel so privileged to have had Andy in my life for such a long time and he’s not going to disappear, he just won’t be playing tennis.
Murraysworld has been wonderful, first Mark and then Aileen keeping us all informed as what was going on. Please do not let Murraysworld disappear.  Over the years many of us have become friends. The videos, the articles, and the pictures are all part of Andy Murray’s legacy, and I would like to continue to come here and be part of this. You as well as Andy have been a great part of my life.
Thank you to tonedial for always putting a link out so members could watch Andy’s matches. Living in the US, they never worked for me, but that’s okay they worked for so many.
Let’s stay in touch folks as we continue to follow the events Andy is involved in. ❤️

One hell of a rollercoaster folks. I was a teenager when I got on all the way back in 2005.

Truth be told I struggled with the last few years. It was difficult to see him play as a shadow of his former self. I'm glad to see he's totally at peace with his decision to retire.

Hope you're all well. A massive thank you to Mark for creating this place.

Thank you everyone for making this place what it is over the years. I really enjoyed sharing all the moments with you.

Particularly want to thank Aileen for her contributions in recent years with match threads. That also kept the homepage alive after the news team disbanded (big thanks to all past staff members, and yes Grabcopy, I remember your stories fondly!).

Thank you Mark for making Murraysworld, this site has been part of my life for years and I really appreciate everyone who has come through this journey and posted through good times and hard times, it's been one hell of a ride. Thank you. hug

For some reason I seem to have missed all this, but many thanks for the appreciative comments.  I also remember Sir Panda, Robbie, Grabcopy, and Sabine.  Clydey was another I remember very well.

It took me until 2009 to find this forum, but a few more months before I plucked up the courage to join, and I've never regretted one minute of it.   It's been a pleasure and a privilege to have met so many interesting people, to exchange views on a variety of topics, and most of all to be able to follow Andy right to the end of his career.

Amazing collection, thanks Alt.  I remembered some of them but not the ones in the early part of his career because until 2010  I only ever saw him play Queens and Wimbledon.  Makes you wonder how many more he would have won if his hip hadn't got in the way.

Miss you too Tamara along with your knowledgeable input.  It also seems strange not to be opening match threads after about four years of doing so.  At least Andy seems to be enjoying his life after tennis, better than he expected in fact.

I look at the Tennis News online every day Apollo, mainly to see what Andy's doing.  It's also interesting to see how many fans are still coming onto the forum even if they don't always  post anything.
