Thank God that C is also inconsistent. Still, anything can happen.

Great final shot from Andy but all in all that was pretty brutal! Feel like I played the whole thing myself—exhausted!

Good to get a win but not so good to watch but as Andy supporters we are used to that.
That put him up to 46 in the live rankings back as third Brit above Jack Draper at 48.
I think that the next match should be better as Andy does usually up his game with classier opponents.

Andy could have made himself life easier with two points away from victory. But fortunately C cracked at the right time. And the match ended in style: nice passing shot fizzing past C. Btw, in the interview Andy sounded a bit hoarse and during the match he coughed now and then. This may explain why he appeared a little slow at times. But his fighting spirit was unbroken. Tremendous effort!

Depends on how much he's got left in the tank after that battle!

RBA gave Andy a painful rubbing in winter. So far for upping his game against long-time opponents on the tour.

I don't like Murray's chances against RBA - providing he does come through. Not playing your first match until Thursday evening I feel is a disadvantage for top seeds. That was a pretty topsy turvy match. Murray far from his best and way too passive for much of the match. You can see he doesn't quite trust himself going properly for his groundstrokes at the mo. A win is a win though. He's still very good at coming out tops in these matches to be fair to him.

I noticed that too, but he pulled out of Astana because he was ill, so that could explain the coughing and hoarseness.
