Indian Wells R2: Andy Murray vs Radu Albot

Quote

^ Aileen, I can remember watching Albot when he was ranked higher - hence my comment. Likewise that Andy sometimes is too soft on lesser able players (I think so he enjoys the game?)
At least he's got time to figure a few things out unlike one match he played a while back when he didn't know who his opponent was until about 30 minutes before the match started!

Thought FAA's match was never going to end.  Nearly two and a half hours for two sets is a bit ridiculous but unfortunately rather typical of tennis today.

^ It all suited me as I watched both Evans/Draper and Emma Raducanu split screen on the laptop.   Now ready for Andy to play.

^ I'm not interested in Emma but I did watch Jack and Dan and a good match it was too.  Nice to see Jack winning after a couple of months' absence.

2 BPs gone.

Repetition of the R1 pattern: creating BP, yet not converting them.

... and Albot goes on to hold.  3-3

Interesting start. Andy not playing too sensibly (imo). Albot looks a bit like Schwartzmann but does not play as well. This might take a while!

It would be really nice if he didn't make this too difficult for himself

It would be nice as well if he got up the court and tried to shorten the points instead of getting engaged in these long rallies.
