Well these 2 have met 17 times so far and it doesn't matter how many times Andy has lost to Rafa, he's always looks forward to playing him.

It's going to be a tough match for Andy to overcome Rafa but he can do it and he just needs to remember that.

I have a 2 hour window to watch this match and I would like it done in that time - are you listening Andy! Very Happy

Sorry, should have added that this is a 2pm local time start - 6 am UK start, and 6 pm NZ start.

And should you have been walking around with blinkers on these last few days, Andy and his brother Jamie are in the doubles finals after a minimal rest period for our Andy.  They play Cermak and Polasek (and no, I have no idea who they are too but apparently they are the 4th seeds at this tournie Very Happy )

As good as I have seen Andy play great mix of patience and aggresion, shame he lost that 4 points in final set

Rafa looks pretty gutted - to win only 4 points in final set must be pretty hard to take for him.

And that for Andy was the key to winning this match, when he plays with a calm mental attitude, he is able to channel his energy correctly, rather than wasting it or showing his opponent whats going on inside his head. I believe our andy will build on the style and manner in which he took Rafa apart in sets 2 and 3. We will be seeing more of this playbook, There still maybe the odd lapse now and again, but this is the very much improved Andy (mentally) that i believe we will be watching in the months to come - long may it continue. Dare we start to believe he can win three titles in a row?  clap clap clap
Dare we believe that he can actually now win a Slam?

I for one would not have predicted that after the first set. I'm looking forward to watching the highlights this evening on Sky sports 3 or Sky sports 3HD.
PT = it was brilliant. I thought it was a lost cause after he lost serve on his first service game but he began to pick up and then to dominate. Nadal's confidence diminished as Andy's grew - definitiely a mental thing from them both as they were both playing brilliant tennis - wouldn't have missed it for the world.

So good to start the day on such a positive note! Andy played an amazing match today - so impressed with the way he fought back and then took complete control of the match. Bodes well for the future. Smile
