Andy plays Simone Bolelli in round two after the Italian beat Chela.





Bolelli is ranked 61 and the HTH is 1-0 to Andy - only meeting was on hardcourt in Madrid last October. Score was 6-0 2-1 ret - if I remember rightly, Andy was handing out a spanking when Bolelli retired.

Recently, the Italian made the 3rd round in Monte Carlo, lost first round in Rome and lost second round in Munich last week.

I'm going for Andy in 2 in this one!

Andy played Bolelli in Rome as a warm-up and beat him there even though the courts were v.slow. Conditions in Madrid are much quicker, 6-2, 6-2 for me2.

Thanks Allan.  This may mean that Andy won't start play until between 5 - 6 p.m. local time.  Hopefully the weather will be good so Andy can finish his match.  I think Anne's match after Andy will only complete if everything goes according to plan.  It would be better her match is moved to court 4 or 6 although it would deprive spectators of an evening match.

Whoever plans for Venus's match at >=9:30 p.m. must be crazy.  This can't be good for the player.
