You're gonna be one of those lab facists that only tests blood when it's in the right colour of tube and the form has a dot on every 'i' aren't you? I hope you're ready to become the bane of every hospital/surgery in your immediate vicinity.
Whatever you do, when you go into the doctors from now on DON'T tell them what you do. It'll be like going into a party and telling them you work for the tax man!
Ya knows it! I worked for a little while in a basic role in a hospital microbiology lab straight after uni and we used to reject things if the details weren't spot on!
I'll try to be laid back though - well, I know I will, as much as I can without being struck off anyway!

A lot of our nurses just get irritated because lab people seem to forget that the red stuff actually came out of a human, with a bit of pain involved (and for some, actually a lot of pain and at more than one try and a fair bit of effort from the nurse). Yet, the tiniest error and it gets rejected. I mean, there are some things I get why it's ignored but a lot of the time it's really petty.
Anyway, just don't be that guy!

I totally sympathise with the patients - it can take a day or two to get a sample into the lab and ready for analysis, only to be told that another needs to be taken because a name wasn't written properly. I'll push for leniency once I'm a consultant (in about 2030!

What about a natural remedies page for me? My head has been bombarded with stuff just lately!
I'll second that, Bev, for many reasons I take a few 'natural remedies' and even if they don't always deal with things as effectively as drugs, they certainly lessen the drugs needed to be takenb in some instances such as lowering cholesterol.

Oh the railway wouldn't be until July or August. The Europe trip would be if I quite before then.
If you can afford it, travel - take the break, you may never have the chance or even want to do such a lengthy journey. You may get completely involved in the research you are doing, meet someone and relinquish (willingly!) the kind of freedom you have now. Today, the world is literally your oyster - have fun but let us know all about it. In my younger days this sort of thing was not possible, especially for a girl, although my bro travelled extensively (with much criticism I might add - but he crooked his finger at them all) on a real shoestring. He never regretted a minute.

To return to the Nole Nando match - Nole plays very well on clay and I feel Andy has quite a bit to do to catch up with him in skills on this surface. He seems to be on form too. He's 4-2 up in the final set.
