messages to Andy

Quote

Apollo has offered to collate messages to Andy and put them in a card, which could be sent to his management company but wasn't sure how to start a thread, so here goes.  I will leave it to Apollo to say more and to give a time limit.  I'll send my own message later.
Thanks Apollo - I think it's a lovely gesture and I hope it will bring Andy a bit of comfort.  He has said he'll decide what to do in the next few days so I guess that might affect what we might want to say.

Thanks Ruthie for doing this.  I was thinking we could do messages for the next three weeks latest September 27, and I will put them in a card that will be like a booklet.  I have a program that I have done several booklets in.  When you send a message, please put your name and where you are from.  If you do not want to put your name here in the forum you can send me a message privately here at Murraysworld.  The more messages the better.

At least we know what's happening now, and thankfully it sounds positive with Andy still intending to play at AndyLive in November and starting next season's campaign in Brisbane, having formed a partnership with Tennis Australia whereby he'll start his season there first for the next three years.  Also he's now met the ATP's criteria - aged 30+, been on the Tour for 12 years, and played 600 matches - which means he can arrange his schedule any way he likes without penalty.

This is definitely the best way to send him a message because he's got just under 4,000 responses to his announcement on Facebook!

I miss him playing but this is all good news.  Also, I got a personal message today and it's fine to send that way if you wish to not sign your name and country on this thread.

Apollo - I'll send you a pm soon - I think we still have a few more days to do that.

All, I have the card made and I have put in messages from Aileen, Deb, and Ruthie which is the total of the messages I have received so far.  I know there are tons of Andy fans here, do you want Murraysworld to be represented by just a handful of messages???  Hoping to hear from many more of you soon.

I agree, and I've PMd a few people so hopefully they'll turn up very soon, otherwise I suppose we could do just a general one on behalf of everyone at MW.

I agree it would be a shame to lose these.  In fact Deb was one of the people I PMd because shes been so busy lately I'd a feeling she probably hadn't caught up with this.  I see Moonglow is going to send you one.  I know of another member who is on holiday until Saturday and who I'm sure would like to leave a message, so I'll PM her when she gets back.  Meanwhile I really do hope some of the others I PMd respond.

A PM means Personal Message, so if you go into the forum you'll see a row of boxes along the top left with the one third from the right called 'Messages'. so if you click on that you'll get into the PM system.  Click on 'New Message',  type Apollo in the address box - the name should come up between double quotes.  You can either leave the subject box empty or just type in 'Andy', then type your message in the box just like you'd do with a post, and click on 'send' down at the bottom right.  You also have the option to preview it first.

Any problems then just get back to me on here.
