AD may only be an exho, but his participation there is important for Murray -
I've been training and having rehab every day and will continue to do so right up until just before Christmas when I fly to Abu Dhabi.
Getting back to playing competitively is the next step in my preparations for the new season, which starts for me at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship.
Coming back from injury is never easy and the line-up this year is so strong but it's exactly the test I need to see where my game is at. I'm looking forward to being part of what is always a great tournament.
Sky Sports, 17 Dec.
Murray's first opponent, on 26 December, will be Tsonga, who himself was fighting a knee injury for the latter half of this year, so will probably be as match rusty as will Murray. However who will be the most physically fit remains to be seen. The winner will play Djokovic the following day, with the loser playing the loser of Ferrer vs. Wawrinka in a 5th place play-off, so either way Murray will be guaranteed two matches.
